My first piano was a new electric Casio I got at Costco in 1995. I was excited about learning to play and having all the sounds available for recordings. This was the second song I ever played a piano on, and the only instrument I had at the time of the song's writing and recording.
Lyrics
“Forever &… A Day”
By: Craig Brohan (1995)
[Verse]
They used to be good mornings. Used to be good mornings. They used to be good mornings ‘til the morn you went away. Father time is stallin’. He sends your memory callin’. They used to be good mornings. ‘Til the morn you went. ‘Til the morn you went away.
[Verse]
My friends they say I’m lazy. (friends they say I’m lazy) I’m driving myself crazy. (wondering how) Wondering how I’d fallen. Fallen from your grace.
We used to be a love song. (used to be a love song) Our melody sweet and strong. (we used to be) Been singing you for so long. ‘Til the morn you went. ‘Til the morn you went away.
[Bridge]
But time it warns, “...forever. She’ll be gone forever and a day.” I’m enchained forever. ‘Cuz she’s thrown away my key and sealed my destiny the day she went away.
[Verse]
Well they used to be good mornings. Used to be good mornings. Used to be good mornings ‘til the morn you went away. Father Time is stallin’. Ah, but Mother Nature’s callin’. They used to be good mornings ‘til the morn you went. Forever &… A Day.
