From the sessions recorded in 1991 on a Teac A2340 4-track reel-to-reel, and still with just a Vox bass guitar, Hohner 6 string acoustic, Digitech sound processor and drums, "Callin' Me Back" was an uptempo song that ended up requiring edits to the original recording.

The song went way too long, so I hooked up my cassette deck to the Teac outputs and recorded onto the cassette, pausing the cassette recording to wait for the next desired point in the song on the reel-to-reel to play, and then continued recording on the cassette deck. This was done in real-time 'on the fly' 5 times to end up with this edited monaural version.

As mentioned on 'I'm With You," when the issues with the master tape get resolved I will be able to split the last three tracks recorded into stereo. The tape that "Don't Be Long" was recorded on didn't have the 'sticky shed' issue, and you can really tell the difference it makes being able to separate those 3 tracks into the stereo spectrum.
